From Bangkok By Train: From Hualampong station in Bangkok, it is most ideal to take the sleeper train to Surathani and continue to Koh Samui via a Ferry.
From Surathani By Ferry: Several ferries and catamarans run from Surathani or Don Sak on the Thai mainland. Ferry times changes frequently, and long waits can be expected, though you will easily find ticket touts awaiting their customers at the station.
